Last night, Mom got to meet a new friend. Her name is Raku, and she is a kitty who was found wandering behind the pottery studio. After a few weeks of being given food by one of the resident potters, Raku allowed herself to be brought inside and to be pet! She was put inside one of the guest rooms. There, she managed to tear open the screen window and get out. Still, she came back in later the next morning. I guess she figured it was a good place to be, or she got hungry.
Yesterday, she went to the V-E-T. It took two grown men to put her in a canvas cat carrier. However, they didn't zip up the carrier all the way and smart girl Raku unzipped the bag and got out... tee hee
She weighed in at 6 lbs and received an excellent bill of health from the vet.
Raku is very friendly, but tends to hide when alone in the room. She came out when Mom came into the room and allowed herself to be pet. Raku was also very curious about the small box thing Mom kept trying to take pictures with. This was the only shot where Raku wasn't totally blurry haha
And so, welcome to our new friend, Raku! We shall see how she gets along with the other studio cat, Shadow...
Nice to meet you, Raku! You probably don't realize how fortunate you are... or maybe you do!
