The other day, Mom indulged in her not-so secret pleasure. Taking photos of animals! Well, this time, she got to take photos of a 12 week old English Bull Dog named Leila Rose Bean.
You see, her friends recently brought this pup into their home and Mom just had to take photos. In fact, if Mom could make a living off of taking photos of pets, she would totally do it.
Here is Leila Rose looking coy. It was really hot out, so she retreated to the shade as much as possible. Smart pup!
Mom arrived at around 11 am and Leila was pooped from playing hard all morning. She was napping for a bit in her new pink bed.
Later she let out a big yawn while getting her beauty shots taken outside.
She really is quite adorable (for a dog, that is...)
Thank you for letting us indulge in sharing Mom's photos! OH! and apparently, yesterday's post was our 500th post! Mom had no clue until she checked out this post. Silly Mom! So, yay for us for having 500 posts! Here's to the next 500!

In which Chani helps change the sheets
Dear Furiends,
As you might know, changing the sheets is my favorite of Mom's chores. I have her pretty well trained to change the sheets every week. I, of course, help her.
I make sure that each fresh sheet has the requisite amount of fur.
I also test out the softness and general comfort.
I must also test the durability.
I must test the durability a lot.
Now, Mom has been very remiss in posting my photos of late. This all Chani post somewhat makes up for it...
Wishing you a very happy week.
And thank you, Angel and Kirby, I am making sure that Mom is not overdoing it on her ankle. It is still not 100%, but she will not stop exercising on it! I feel that #1 does have a point about it being bad for her health. Still, Mom aims to be svelte because we kitties inspire her!
Happy Cat World Domination day!!! Thank you, Sparkle, for making this day official!

The boys
are simply too cute for words when they sleep together.
On a Marlene note, Mom went jogging this morning. She jogged 1 mile, walked about an eighth of a mile and then jogged another full mile. Best she's done since she started jogging outside. Hooray!!!

Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's Day, Dad! Love you and love how much you have taught me to love and care for my kitties. From Kioki to Q to 9, Chani and Sheamus Popoki (and Fluffy down in Los Angeles), you have shown me what it is to be a cat parent.
9, Chani and Sheamus Popoki also send their love to their 'grandpa' who feeds them their dinner and loads of treats when I cannot make it home on time. You are simply, the best.

Thankful Thursday
Mom brushed us again. For that, Chani and Sheamus Popoki are very grateful.
As for me, 9, who doesn't really like to be brushed, well, I am thankful for the freeze dried chicken treats after everyone gets brushed.

Furry Monday
Mom decided to brush us tonight. Sheamus Popoki and Chani were very good about it. 9, not so much. Mom had to chase him down. At any rate, Mom ended up covered in fur as well. Her black exercise pants turned buff orange with long furs from Spam-chan.
Lately, Mom has been stressed at work. Things aren't going so well what with a number of layoffs. Her job is safe for now, but she's worried. We try to help out as much as we can by purring and cuddling with her. She loves us very much for that.
She's also decided to quit her gym membership because she tried jogging outside and could barely jog half a mile! So, if she's going to run in 5K without walking, she really needs to train outside and not on a treadmill. This month, her yoga membership ran out and she hasn't been going as much (she only went once in May!). Plus, her ankle is still not 100%... maybe 75% well. She can jog on it after all, but it still is a bit swollen. And so, lots of changes going on for Mom right now. She says she needs to sit back and regroup.
We kitties will make sure that Mom is supported well and do our best to keep her spirits up!

Mea Culpa, Sheamus Popoki! Happy Belated Birthday!
Teehee, Mom is in quite the apologetic mood. You see, 2 weeks ago, she knew she would have to post a little something about my 2nd birthday, BUT she forgot. Can you believe it? Now, a week later, she remembered and wow, talk about giving me lots of love haha
I'm just going to soak it up.
Mom says that I've come along way from this itty bitty she fell in love with but resisted with all her might.
And then she took this photo and fell for my charm completely. Originally, she wanted me to go live with Grandpa and Grandma, but they were traveling too much, so I joined 9 and Chani.
Now, although she says the cat fur around the condo has increased exponentially and that everything (dark furniture covers, curtains...) have taken a white or buff tinge to it, she wouldn't have it any other way.
And I've become quite used to Grandpa coming over to feed us on Tuesday nights. Before, I would just hide as soon as I heard him come in. Now, I wait with my brofur and sisfur for him to give us treats. I don't hide in the closet anymore!
Still don't like strangers though. But, Mom says that's ok.
I promise to make sure Mom 'pays' a little bit for her forgetfulness. And she says she will give us tuna or possibly bake us a cupcake as soon as she finds the right recipe.
Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend, furiends! I know I am :D
