Sir Stringbean

Hello! This is Sir Stringbean. He is an adorable chihuahua friend of one of Mom's friends.

Mom thinks that he has an incredibly tiny head compared to his body and his ears. We think he's cute for a canine.

Before meeting Sir Stringbean, Mom and Sir Stringbean's mom went driving up the coast from Santa Cruz to Half Moon Bay. On the way, they stopped a Pigeon Point Lighthouse. It was quite nice for them to stretch their legs and smell the sweet ocean air.

The fog was not exactly rolling in, but it did provide some ambience to the scene. Mom thought the fishing boat anchored right off the shore looked quite ghostly. Fired up her imagination and all that.

After this lovely drive and meet with Sir Stringbean, Mom came home and took a nice nap with us. It was wonderful.

Mom was so busy this past week, she tired us out! She says she has photos to upload to the computer still and hopefully will do so soon. We'll put the Bitey on her if she doesn't do that.

Sleeping Chani

Chani: Ah what sweet bliss it is to sleep on my purple bedspread. Purple is the color of royalty and mom calls me her little Princess.


Of course, I am a Princess with these cute little jellybean toes and kissable nose.

9 in boxes revisited

Remember when 9 could fit in one of these postal boxes? Ah, he was sooo tiny then!

Well, he's not so tiny anymore, but he still loves boxes.

Here he is looking up at Ceiling Cat from the comfort of box filled with papers. He loves to play with those papers late at night... sigh...

Almost Wordless Wednesday

Chani goes up on the window ledge above the patio door too.

Sneaky 9

Wow! The view from this window ledge is simply amazing. I can see out over the patio and look at everyone from on high.


But wait! What is this I spy?

Ooh Chani didn't finish all her food. I am feeling a bit peckish and you know what they say: Waste not, want not!

I'm not doing anything at all, Mom! I'm just hanging out here.

As a point of clarification, Chani gets her food served at the top of her tower. 9 get his at the regular food spot in the kitchen. This way, Chani doesn't steal 9's food like she used to when they were kittens and she gets her own spot relatively safe from 9's coveting of her food. However, Chani doesn't finish her food in one sitting. She eats, goes away and comes back to eat more. Still, there are usually leftovers and 9 is determined that he shall partake of her serving and finish it up whether Chani is done or not... Sort of explains why he's a bit bigger than she is!

Sleepy time

Last night, 9 lounged with me on the couch. I had no idea where dear little Chani was until I went to bed. There she was on 'her' side of the bed all sleepy cute. After this photo, she did roll on her side for some chest and belly rubs. Sigh...

Now, can anyone answer me this question? Why do kitties always sleep on the side of the bed that is closest to the bathroom?
