Marlene is recovering

And not taking photos of us!!! How wrong is that?

OH, and she is very stubborn. She has been going to work, walking from the train station to the office.  Last Thursday, she used her crutches and was mentally cursing with every step. Last Friday, she worked from home. The weekend, she gave up on crutches but kept her ace bandage on her foot.

This week, she bought a new ankle brace and has been wearing that. She is complaining that her foot is stiff (yes, our mom is very impatient) and she is getting tired of wearing her brace.

What are we three kitties supposed to do? In bed, 9 tries to get her to stop moving by lying on her injured foot or on her scraped up knee. Mom does NOT appreciate that. Chani tries to cuddle under her arms which Mom does appreciate, but then Mom can't move very well.

As for Sheamus Popoki, he just lies off to the side of her, on his back exposing his belly. This, of course, makes Mom get up, disturb Chani, move 9 and she pets the orange floofball's belly.

Seriously, if she didn't provide us with Salmon flavored kibble and other lovely treats, we would protest a great deal more.

Huggle Time!

Hello, dear friends. Chani here. Mom has been horribly remiss in documenting our lives. No proper photos of us since St. Patrick's Day! We would be terribly upset except, she does give us a lot of attention and hugs. In fact, tonight, she stayed home with us instead of going to her yoga class. It was quite pleasant.

She did, however, spend a great deal of time on the computer playing a game. And so, my dear little brother, Sheamus Popoki, got her attention by knocking over one of our empty kibble dishes. Can you imagine that? An empty kibble dish? But it gets worse. ALL 3 kibble dishes were empty! It was quite horrific.

Each dish was quickly refilled. Thank goodness.

And now to the topic of the day. "Huggle Time". Honestly, I don't know why Mom does this. Look at us! All 3 of us captured in one ginormous hug, being snuggled by Mom. Look at our faces! Can you tell how much we 'enjoy' this act? Ugh... I cannot begin to tell you how annoying it can be. Sometimes, I am in the center. But sometimes, I escape. Mom usually begins by capturing Sheamus Popoki and 9. The boys do get along with each other quite well. Then, she comes after me. If I am awake enough, I run away because I see what is happening.

Most of the time, my brothers do not see it coming at all. Well, 9 loves being snuggled and Sheamus Popoki... well, he's kind of dim. He hasn't caught on yet. I wonder if he ever will.

Mom is quite right in that she enjoys these huggles much more than any of us do. I am quite vocal in complaining about it. Sheamus Popoki complains too. 9 just takes it. He's kind of passive aggressive that way.

Sigh... we really better start training Mom again. She is such a slacker and obviously requires constant supervision and managment.

Mom is bad!

Mom has not been a good blogger about us these last few weeks. She'd like to blame it on having too much to do, but we know that is not true! She's been coming home and then going out again and definitely not working late at night.

Hmph! This calls for something drastic. We must have our pictures out there on the Internet!!!

Please be patient with us as we attempt to show Mom how 'bad' she has been lately.

Mom was so busy this past week, she tired us out! She says she has photos to upload to the computer still and hopefully will do so soon. We'll put the Bitey on her if she doesn't do that.

Hello All!

Forgive me for not posting new Chani and 9 adventures. This past weekend and on through to Monday, I was busy celebrating (and dreading) my 40th birthday. I had a few friends come up from Los Angeles and spend 4 days with the kitties and me.

Needless to say much fun was had and much food was eaten. Both Faye and Tina are slightly allergic to cats and kept the kitties out of the guest room as much as possible. The funny part is that 9 and Chani don't go into the guest room all that often. However, with the futon bed pulled out and PEOPLE in that room, oh boy was that the place to be! 9 did his best to sneak into the guest room behind Tina's back. 9 lay on Faye's lap as she played on my iPad while lying on the couch. Earlier, Chani lay between Faye and myself.

Despite allergies and 9 being his lovable naughty self, both of my friends had a blast playing with him. They tried to play with Chani too. Tina loved how Chani would fall over and play while lying on her back.

Faye stated her preference for Chani (but not in 9's presences) but did say that 9 is a sweetiepie/cutiepie boy too.

Anyhow, that is my excuse and I'm sticking with it. Now, I am off to enjoy my midlife crisis lol...

About time!

Mom got home a week ago and she just updated our blog right now! Can you believe what a slacker she is?

Well, we have to admit, she's been busy with work and getting over jet lag. And this past weekend was full of guests from all over.

At any rate, we've been resting up and snuggling. Chani has been occasionally "glaring" at Mom for not blogging properly, but she has been been snuggling up to Mom at night. It's not always good for Mom because it's been quite warm lately. And I'm sure you all know how much heat we kitties emit heehee

Here's a photo of our friend, Marla, and me. Chani loved lying next to Marla on the couch. As for me, I just love everyone.

Mom is making excuses again...

Mom managed to catch Grandma and Grandpa's cold. Grandma caught it first and was getting better when Grandpa got sick. Now that Grandpa is getting better, Mom must have wanted to join in the family trend and get sick. So, she's working from home today.

She doesn't sound too bad, only coughing on occasions. 9 is draped on her lap and arms to keep her warm.

No pictures for now. She's really sorry for not taking more pictures of us, but will soon. She promises.

Mom's a slacker!

Hi Everyone. 9 here. Mom has been seriously slacking in the blogging department. She is constantly muttering something about needing more time and why did she procrastinate. Then, she heads out to the patio where Chani and I are forbidden from entering and stays out there for an unseemly amount of time. When she comes back inside, she's got clay all over her pants and shirt. The dust she trails in makes me sneeze!

Eggcups made for a friend. Behind are all the bowls she's been making... Mom's not too happy with the shape of the eggcups, but our friend is happy with them, so Mom is happy.


Well, at least she sat down in Grandpa's chair this afternoon on a break so I could snuggle with her. Chani got to snuggle with her later in the evening.

Honestly, I don't know what has gotten into Mom...

Hi all, Marlene here. Well, I have a pottery sale coming up on December 12 and 13th. Of course, I waited til the last minute in getting everything made. I'm just barely going to make the last glaze firing before the sale (if I'm lucky enough! Darn the cold weather making everything take forever to dry!).

Some of you may remember my CafePress site (which I haven't updated with new designs in a while. Another bad me moment hehe). At any rate, I decided to have the Cat design and the Angel design made into clay stamps so I could make some clay pendants with them... or use them as decorative accents for some bowls. In the next few days, I'll be making some pendants out of Precious Metal Clay and I'll show you what those look like after I fire them.
