Somewhat Snuggling on a Sunday

Mom sat on the couch today to catch up on some tv. Chani and I slept on her, but we kept switching places every time Mom got up... Yes, can you believe it, she would get up and disturb our napping! Eventually, Chani slept on her chest, while I slept on her stomach. Since we were both there, I thought Chani could use some grooming. Chani disagreed and whapped me in the head. Mom made her stop and then we both decided to share the space. Until Mom got up again... seriously, she needs to stop moving! The laundry can do itself!

Later in the evening, Mom came across this tableau. She wondered where she was going to sleep. Fortunately, Chani was kind enough to move. This is about as close as Chani comes to snuggling with Sheamus Popoki. She still considers him the Orange Interloper.

Snuggle time!

Last night, 9 was being adorable and was on the verge of crazy pants behavior. To head it off (because it usually means that Chani will be running away from while growling and hissing), I decided it was snuggle time with 9.

If only you could hear his purring here.

Sheamus Popoki had to check it out, but decided he wanted no part of it and left.

So, 9 got lots of loving.

Tuesday Shenanigans

The boys like to snuggle together. What you don't see is where exactly on the bed that they have chosen to snuggle. My feet are to the left. I had about 6 inches of space for both feet. The boys are in the center of the bed. There is the whole other half of the bed for them to sleep, however, they like to be right up against me.

Chani was up towards my hips. She also likes to snuggle against me. I had about a foot of space for my upper body... I think they are trying to push me off the bed here!

Resting and relaxing

Mom is so happy to have a phone that takes photos again. She has completely foregone using the big black camera and is just taking photos of us using her phone. (She bought an iPhone 4s, if anyone is interested... We think the phone is doing weird things to Mom, she gets all giggly when holding the phone... do you think that it's emitting some sort of weird energy aura to make our Mom silly?)

At any rate, we had a nice snuggle sleeping on her last night while she was relaxing on the couch. 9 decided to clean my ears. He can be nice to me, I suppose.
 

I think he wanted to get closer to Mom... he likes sleeping on her chest, but I was in the way tee hee...

I love sleeping on Mom. So comfy.

And, at the end, I got all adorable and covered my eyes from the overhead light. Do I know how to work the cute or what?

9! Chani is NOT a pillow!

Ok, maybe she doesn't mind being a pillow...

Apparently, while I was gone, 9 and Chani decided to snuggle up a bit and Chani let 9 use her head as a pillow. My dad was great enough to take pictures (ok, it's in the blood, my dad and I take pictures of our cats whenever they are doing something cute or just whenever and oh my gosh, did I just call my cats "our cats" eeek!).

Dad said that Chani would move her head and get a little more comfortable, but 9 didn't move his head at all while she repositioned herself. What a life, eh?

9 and Chani... growing up

First of all, thank you for all the well wishes. I feel much better now than I did last week. That stomach bug really kicked me hard!

Ok, now for some pics of the kits, because I know that's why you're all here =^.^=


9 and Chani snuggle on occasion. So, I'm always happy when I'm able to catch them together. 9 still takes his Chani cleaning duties a little seriously. On this day, she was taking a lovely afternoon nap, 9 was looking out the window and then decided it was time to clean Chani. She was so relaxed that she just let it happen. 9 is really a good big brother to her. After a bit of cleaning, 9 decided that he needed to rest and Chani provided a pillow for his weary head.

Here's a side by side picture just to show you how big they've become. Neither is one year old yet, but they are truly looking like cats now instead of kittens. Part of me is kind of sad about that, but Chani is still my delicate little Miss and 9 is still my brawny big little Man.
Yes, she is definitely growing into quite the lady cat.


I know I keep saying that 9 is not too bright, but let in this picture, you can definitely tell he is bright and quite capable of contemplation.

Back in the day, when I would talk to Q (of course, I was cuddling him as well or he had just done something I didn't want him to do), I would say: Q, my darling... Love of my life... I love you dearly... yada yada yada

Last night, 9 was being rambunctious and chaotic as only a 10 month old kitten can and I said: 9, darling... Love of my life...

I had to stop there. I hugged 9, said: Q was the Love of my life, but I love you very dearly too, 9.

Funny how things just remind you that Life does indeed go on.

Thursday Tidings

Technically, I should post these on Snuggle Saturday or Sunday. However, in keeping with my inability to keep track of days, I shall post these pictures today.

Late last night, 9 and Chani provided me a photo opportunity that I could not resist. First, I took pictures with my camera phone and sent it to friends. They accused me of photoshopping the pair. Honestly, no Photoshop was used in the pictures below.

Can I just say that my brain exploded with the cute presented here? 9 and Chani do get along very well, but last night was the first night where they snuggled like this AND I had the camera ready.  My heart also burst with sheer love last night.

Sigh... I love these two.
