Hello Furiends,
We're sorry, but no adorable pictures of us today. Mom promises to take some soon. However, we are being very forgiving of her since she's been working from home since Wednesday!
You see, Mom's office had a half day on Wednesday, so her art director thought it was silly for her to trek up to the office for only 4 hours of work. (Her commute takes about 2 hours one way on a good day). So, she worked from home and put in a full day's work. (The art team has way too much to do to take a half day off.) We cannot tell you how lovely it was to rub against her legs and get attention and pets and treats while she was working.
Yesterday was a holiday, but she did a little bit of work too. And then today, she got to work from home again! It was great! We really wish she could do that more often.
Oh, and she did apply to a new job but hasn't heard anything back. She's not discouraged. For her, the biggest challenge was applying in the first place. Mom hasn't had to look for a job in 6 years so it was a bit nerve wracking to write up her resume and to get some of her work out there. If you're interested in seeing how Mom pays for all our treats and toys as well as our bed and the roof over our head, click on this link.
At any rate, we hope our American friends had a lovely 4th of July and that the weekend will prove to be just wonderful for everyone!

Marlene is recovering
And not taking photos of us!!! How wrong is that?
OH, and she is very stubborn. She has been going to work, walking from the train station to the office. Last Thursday, she used her crutches and was mentally cursing with every step. Last Friday, she worked from home. The weekend, she gave up on crutches but kept her ace bandage on her foot.
This week, she bought a new ankle brace and has been wearing that. She is complaining that her foot is stiff (yes, our mom is very impatient) and she is getting tired of wearing her brace.
What are we three kitties supposed to do? In bed, 9 tries to get her to stop moving by lying on her injured foot or on her scraped up knee. Mom does NOT appreciate that. Chani tries to cuddle under her arms which Mom does appreciate, but then Mom can't move very well.
As for Sheamus Popoki, he just lies off to the side of her, on his back exposing his belly. This, of course, makes Mom get up, disturb Chani, move 9 and she pets the orange floofball's belly.
Seriously, if she didn't provide us with Salmon flavored kibble and other lovely treats, we would protest a great deal more.

We are home!!!
Well, the condo pipe replacement went a lot faster than we all expected. So, now we are back home in our condo, sleeping, eating, drinking and keeping Mom warm. Mom needs to clean our home in a big way. Lots of empty boxes and trash needs to be taken out.
We do miss Grandpa and Grandma, but we are happy to be home.
Mom still has a few more pictures from Grandpa and Grandma's to post, but that will have to wait.

A pictureless post
We are all back at Grandpa and Grandma's for the next few weeks because the pipes in our condo are getting switched out from galvanized steel to copper. Yes, it is a good thing. However, it would have been nice if this was all done when our condo was in shambles from the first remodel!
Mom is a bit disgruntled about it because she will have to paint walls and such. Well, now, maybe she will paint the counter area where we are fed. It is such an eyesore to see plain wood there!
Mom thought it best to bring us to Grandpa and Grandma's so we did not get stressed by all the people in our condo and the noises and dust. She also decided to come with us so we can all be together.
We are doing our best to make sure Mom knows how much we appreciate being here. There are so many nooks and crannies to play hide and seek in! And the papers that we can display our musical prowess bright and early in the morning are simply awesome!
Pictures will come as we get settled in for the next few weeks!
