The NEW best seat in the house

Aaaaaah... this seat is sooo nice and warm! How nice of Grandma to warm it up for me. I just love lying in a nice warm seat... purrrrrrr.

What do you mean that Grandma didn't warm it up for me and that she wants to sit here again and knit? Nope! She did it for me!!! Grandma looooves me even though I always mew in complaint at her when she tries to tickle my toesies.

A mostly 9 post

First off, thank you to Wendy for honoring 9 and Chani with her lols. They are great! And welcome to all 9 and Chani's new fur and non fur friends. It's great to meet you all!

Here you see that 9 has completely charmed my dad so much so that my dad is willing to 'share' his chair with 9. I'm pretty sure that this whole act is part of 9's ultimate plan to take over Dad's chair completely and utterly. He's in for a good fight. Q never was able to take over Dad's chair. We'll see who is more determined here.

9: Chin scritches are divine!!!

9: I wink in adorableness in order to hide my cunning plan. I shall overcome you with my cuteness and this chair shall be mine!

And even though Chani has had a few posts all to herself, she couldn't allow 9 to have this page to himself. She had to show that she's trying to take over Dad's chair too, just in a slightly different way.

Oh, and one more thing. My workload has increased in the last few weeks, so I'm only working from home on Tuesdays. As soon as I adjust to this schedule, I hope to be posting as regularly as I used to!

AND I'm also getting ready for a pottery sale that's coming up September 19 and 20. (Yes, I'm also a potter in my spare time) I hope to start blogging about that once the sale is over. I'll keep you all informed about that and may post some pictures of my work soon.

Thursday Tidings

9 and Chani have settled in to my parents' house quite nicely. They've even found the best seat in the house and are attempting to take it over. Unfortunately for them, my dad is quite possessive of HIS chair. Still, they do try.

Things are going pretty smoothly here. Living out of a box is not all that fun, but it's only temporary. I can handle it! And it gives the kitties something to experience. Lately, 9 has been showing off his jumping prowess, both vertically and horizontally. This means that all of us have to do a little de-cluttering so that the kitties don't hurt themselves or the stuff on the tabletops, dresser tops, countertops... you get the picture.

I tell you, keeping both 9 and Chani off of the dining room table is next to impossible! Oh, and 9 really enjoys sharing some of my dad's cereal in the morning. We really have to watch him closely or he'd be eating everyone's food!

Still, I'm very thankful that my parents have let me move back in with them for this short time AND that they love having the kittens with them. (Mom has definitely shown a marked preference for 9... oh! and he slept next to her yesterday afternoon, on his back cradled between her and the armrest of her chair... talk about kissing up! Dad has the photographic evidence. I shall post that in the future.)

Chair possession

9 and Chani sleep with me in my room. When I wake up (anywhere between my 5 o'clock bathroom break that used to be the time I would feed Q his breakfast to 7:30), my beloved pair will get all antsy to leave my room for their morning kibble krunchies.

This morning was no exception.  They were let out around 7 a.m.
When I woke up for good around 8:45, I came out to the front room to see them sitting in this chair. Of course, I had to take a photo or two. I love the color of the first shot without a flash, but Chani was too much in the shadows, so I had to take a second shot. Still, I love 9's expression in the first shot.

Man, I just love my pair of kittens! I'm going to miss them so much when I'm in Hawaii. Sigh... I'll be thinking about them a lot.

Enjoy yourselves everyone! See you when I get back!
