Happy New Year!

Every New Year's Day, I go to two parties. The first one is always the dog party... i.e. The one where I am more acquainted with/fond of the dog than the people.

In past years, it was Sonia or Conan or both with whom I stayed with. This year, it is Penny.

First, we went for a walk. This is her first New Year's party and there will be a lot of people. So, I offered to come by early and take her for a walk.

Walking was done and sniffs were many.

When we got back, she got a treat. I thought it was a perfect opportunity for a selfie, but she disagreed...

I just want to eat my treat in peace!

At any rate, Penny, her family, my cats

Who are recovering from their New Year Eve's celebration

And I wish you a very Happy New Year. All the best in 2016 to everyone!

Snoozing before the New Year

The boys snooze together

9 looks adorable as always, contemplating the Universe and what 2013 might bring. More tuna? More freeze dried chicken treats? Hmmmm....

Chani snoozes under the kotatsu. She's happy in the warmth there.

Finally, the boys drift off to sleep, curled up and safe, knowing how much I love all three of them.

Happy New Year, everyone! See you in January :D

Happy New Year 2012!

Keeping with the tradition started last year, I present to you my New Year's drawing. Since 2012 is the Year of the Dragon, 9, Chani and Sheamus Popoki are wearing dragon costumes. No, I haven't found any actual dragon costumes, maybe next Halloween? Hehe...

2011 was a good year for our little family. Our pipes in the condo were re-done. We now have a water softener. Mom's pottery business was more successful than she thought it would be. She also started up a Zazzle shop to sell some prints of her 2d work. After a mad bout of cleaning and purging, the guest room is a lot cleaner and better organized than before. Yes, we can have guests be comfortable there! AND Mom cleaned out her bedroom closet, so there are some empty shelves that we can climb up on. She really does think of us all the time, doesn't she?

2011 also brought our little brofur. He's fitting in well with us and can really endear himself to Mom with his cuddles and purrs.

We hope you have enjoyed our adventures this year. Mom might promise to be better about posting (we will do our best to gently encourage her to post more often!), but her real 2012 resolution is to clean our litter boxes more often. We have been letting her get away with being lax on this, but no more!

Happy New Year, everyone! We look forward to what adventures we will have and all your adventures too!

Happy New Year!

Wow! We didn't have to put the bitey on Mom to create our New Year's greeting! 2011 is the Year of the Rabbit, so Mom decided to put bunny ears on all of us.

Happy New Year to all our friends in Blog Land. We have had a great 2010 and are looking forward to 2011.

May all your wishes come true. Have a happy, prosperous and wondrous 2011!!!

hugs, nosekisses and purrs,

Sigh...

Mom had every intention of taking photos of us and spending a ton of time with us over her break, but instead, she's been spending time at the wood kiln. She's had three six hour shifts at very odd times of the day (6 pm to midnight, 9 pm to 3 am and 3 am to 9 am). So, we've taken to sleeping with her whenever she naps. Next week, things will get back to "normal" whatever that means.

At any rate, we all wanted to wish you a Happy New Year (those are cupcakes she made for the firing, but she didn't think to take a picture until after the "R" cupcake was eaten).

We hope everyone had a wonderful New Year and we can't wait to experience new adventures in 2010! Something tells us that something interesting might happen at the end of this month.

Purrs and hugs,
9, Chani and Marlene
