9: Mom begged and pleaded with me to allow her to hijack the blog again for this condo thing. Chani and I are not sure what it is yet, but it seems to be taking Mom, Grandma and Grandpa's attention away from us... I can be gracious enough to let Mom do this, but she couldn't even be bothered to take a picture of me with the regular flashy box thing. She used her camera phone. All I know is that she better make it up to us soon!

Hi All. Here are some pictures of the pre-painted/pre-remodeled condo. And yes, I am making things up to 9 and Chani with extra cuddles and hugs :)
Marlene
The guest bedroom and the only paint where I put it on the wall and said: that's the right color! The orange, not the green...
The paint test in the guest bathroom continues. I am going to go with the light turquoise blue right below the whitish color.
The kitchen before it gets new appliances and new cabinets and basically rearranged.
Another view. The angled wall on the left is a pantry that is kind of inconvenient and oddly shaped. I hope to change that out. Plus, the sink and the stove are opposing each other. Talk about bad Feng Shui! That will get rearranged too, I hope.
Finally, my bedroom. The yellow on the wall is pretty hideous but not as hideous as the above picture makes it seem. I'm going to be putting a nice purple on the walls. I love purple! I was going to go dark, but decided to go with a lighter more grey purple.
That is the remnant of the wallpaper that was originally there. It's applied in a rip and apply method that makes it hard to take off. Just as an fyi, the wallpaper was fully covering the walls before I got in there. This picture was taken about 3 days after Mom and I started ripping the paper off. It's taking a while because it covered two full walls.
And there you go!
I promise not to hijack this blog for my condo more than once a week. So, I'll be sure to post more 9 and Chani pics soon :)
That was a really cool update, y'all sure have been busy...now help Mom so she can get done and get back to your routine!
ReplyDeleteI am liking your color choices ~ I love painting ~ just not the cleaning up part! :)
ReplyDeleteWe think you will like the lighter colors on the wall. I love purple too, but it can be over powering! Thanks for sharing the remodel!
ReplyDeleteoooh, how exciting!! can't wait to see it progress! i have to live vicariously through you now since i've given up on my own place.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh!!!! Having been out of it for a while I completely missed the great news!!! YAY!!!!
ReplyDeleteI like your color choices, too! Lots of work, but sooo exciting. An extra crowl to 9 and Chani for me, too... they are being very patient! :-)
9, we hope you get a vote with all this remodeling. You have to make sure there are lots of comfy places to perch on and that the new wall colours match you and Chani.
ReplyDeleteMarlene, we see how much work it is, but it is going to look just great! When's the house warming party - we're coming!
We can see you have your work cut out for you, Marlene! And we agree with you about the kitchen cabinets!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry 9 and Chani, all this strangeness is for YOU!
I can't wait to see the finished product and the cats reaction to their new home. It looks great!
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't wait to see your after pictures of your kitchen. I have a galley kitchen similar to yours and I want new cabiinets and a new layout. I start thinking about it and get overwhelmed. I want to see what you come up with.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about your kiddos. They are lucky to have you and their grandparents!!!
Coolness! Lots of work, but feels great when it's the colors (arrangement, style, fill-in-as-you-like) that make YOU feel at home. Glad you're taking lots of before pics, and look forward to after.
ReplyDeleteLove the purple for the bedroom walls...I used to have (light) purple bedroom :) Can't wait to see the "after" photos :)
