Under my headboard, there's a nice nightlight/lamp for reading. It's quite warm and thus, Chani loves sleeping under it.
On a different note, the past two mornings, 9 has been rather rambunctious at 5:30 a.m. when my alarm goes off. I usually hit the snooze button and get a few more ZzzZzs. So, of course, I must gently chide 9 that he does not determine when I actually get out of bed. The strange part is that I'm yelling "Q, stop!" instead of "9! Stop!" It takes me a few seconds to realize that I'm shouting the wrong name (note, I am not shouting per se, more like hissing loudly, but not too loudly). Perhaps Q is inspiring 9 to be so naughty in the morning. I don't know. But, it makes me giggle a bit and get a little nostalgic for the days when Q would purr in my face to wake me up and feed him.
Mind you, 5:30 a.m. is still too early to be coherent!
I know my little departed pug gives all sorts of hints, tips and ideas to my newer little puggie. He came along a couple of years after she died, but we still think of her every day. And, Branch does things that were uniquely Winifred. She's whispering in his ear, and I'll bet 9 is doing Q's bidding, too. Isn't that great? :)
ReplyDeleteThere are times I feel a cat get on the bed in the middle of the night, but when I look, no one is there. We have always knew Wizard made his presence known
ReplyDeleteIt's like she's in a tanning bed ... ha!
ReplyDeleteAs for 5:30 a.m. wake-up calls from 9 (and formerly Q), I'd say Oliver is sending 9 some vibes too. He gets active right around that time -- often earlier -- and drives his mom a little berserk before she's had her coffee.
